Since the most recent school shooting in Florida law makers have wanted to raise the age limit for owning an assault style rifle from 18 to the age of 21. Due to the NRA being a large gun lobby with large influence in government usually pays off politicians to vote against gun restricting bills. As many survivors and nationwide support to pass legislation to increase background checks the NRA flagged it down and caused it to be set up for re amending. Trump in the recent meeting on gun legislation claimed some of his lawyers were afraid of the NRA and kept on withdrawing further bills or restrictions when asked on passing the bill. The trend seems to come after major shooting tragedies in the US when bills are proposed they are immediately terminated due to NRA funding the lawmakers or being added in the bill allowing them to change aspects of the new rules. In this BBC article the author appealed to ethos as the credibility of politicians promising change with bills don't as they are scrutinized or overall blackmailed with funds by the NRA. In this article there was no appeal of bias to any political party and stated pure facts the author covered both aspects and represented the claims fairly.

The worlds favorite and most popularly recognized dish dates back so many years and many ask its area of origin and why it was created. All dating back almost 3500BC where early forms of pasta in, both Japan and China then through trade on the Silk Road spread this idea of cuisine throughout Europe and eventually the modern world. The reason pasta became such a heavy influence is because of three main points; cheap wheat, industrialized pasta making, and the large influence of the church which prohibited meat on certain days. A large number of people question as to why the shape of Macaroni, this is due to in Switzerland with a book called Libro de Arte Coquinaria which instructed people on hallowing pasta with stick soon bending after cooking.
Nasa has seemed to intercept a long slender asteroid or separate object in space, and arises questions on how it was formed and the material its comprised of. With scientists measurements they theorize the object is comprised of carbon with an icy interior due to the way in which it reflects suns rays. The way in which it was formed was due to a collision from two molten cores and ejected rocks that soon froze and some came other clutter dispersed from a supernova. Hopefully with more analysis they hope to check the layers and maybe see if other planets which were formed similarly could contain these certain materials that could contain organic life. As technology evolves we have made larger breakthroughs within our solar system and in turn lead us to find life else where. Many EU Nations have voted to renew the lease of using the harmful and much controversial weed killer Glyphosate. As France may be the only one who may ban it, the others have not shown much opposition. It is produced by the agricultural corporation Monsanto and has been widely bought for crops all around Europe. Many of the critics against this weed killer claim it is a carcinogenic, but most scientist claim it is safe for use. Those studies vary depending on the company funding for its testing as much of Monsanto has hired private tests to be conducted and deemed safe. Another concern as the chemical is non selective it could kill any plants it comes into contact with besides weeds as the targeted killer. Surprisingly countries such as Germany and the UK have abstained and are now voting in favor to keep this available to farmers in their countries. France has been the only one to highlight issues and work on alternative products that are more natural substitution using less chemicals and being safer for human consumption. The authors bias was mutual as he covered the countries voting in favor or against glyphosate. Much of his information covered production and history of testing and multiple studies of how its adverse affects on humans being more factual than opinionated. Most of the research was how it affects both humans and plants and the market in which most of this is sold in.
A very controversial topic has risen in the sports franchise, around standing for the national anthem. Colin Kaepernick a quarterback that plays for the San Francisco 49ers started this movement by kneeling in protest of recent aggressions with police brutality towards the black community. Also by kneeling Kaepernick wants to address his view that if his country doesn't stand for his rights then why stand for it. If his rights aren't represented then why should he stand for it mentality. This was sparked inside the NFL and soon spread amongst many teams and vast crowds of people. In the article Roger Goodell commissioner of the NFL sent a letter stating how these actions will not be tolerated and as the perspective of a company and isn't a platform for protest. So far other leagues such as the MLB and NBA have outlawed this act and refer to the contract the players signed stating the are required to stand. In this BBC sports article it gave quotes with evidence with both sides. It has no clear bias and only shows the views of the NFL as to how they will punish players who will partake. The author uses simple syntax to quickly summarize the issue, and some bits of simple diction making it appealing to the broad sports audience making this effective to understand. Again the BBC shows no bias and lenient to one side of the spectrum and staying more independent as each author contributes has multiple attitudes and opinions.
As seen in the article the republican President Trump with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are debating whether an act of war is needed or negotiations, and diplomacy. The main goal of the US is to halt the nuclear weapons production program in North Korea. Everything including the development of the weapons to the testing seen recently near South Korea, and Japan. As there is little facts it mainly shows statements in the article showing the US officials opinions and directly stating quotes, and President Trump's tweets. I believe the author structured the article well as he embedded hyper links to other stories that cover more in depth ideas or topics addressed in this article vaguely. There was no uphold of an political party, but more bashing to the North Koreans who seem to instigate and provoke US action. The author points out also how Tillerson contradicts his statements of peace and diplomacy with, military action and preparations. Also there were explanations on stricter sanctions against North Korea if there is no cooperation with the US or UN. Some diction used shows the urgency of a greater conflict arising and some readers should become more aware. Also with helping prove the credibility the author directly states quotes from what the government officials said and inserted photos of the tweets the President posted. Overall, the article isn't directly addressed to truly any political party more of the American audience and even the independent party.
