Brief history of the bbc news
The first ever broadcast the British Broadcasting Channel first aired over radio in the 1922s. The first owner John Charles Walsham Reith became General Manager of the BBC on 14 December 1922. By early 1930s they began the first television broadcast on August 22, 1932. During World War 2 it stopped for a period and resumed in 1946. Since April 1, 2014 has funded the BBC World Service which broadcasts in 28 languages and since 2016 to currently 40 languages and broadcasts to around 120 million people worldwide.
